Bristol County and Central Massachusetts bowling alleys sold to Ryan Family Amusement
Two Massachusetts bowling alleys have been sold to an amusement company.
Ownership announced Wednesday that they have accepted an offer from Ryan Family Amusement to purchase both North Bowl in North Attleboro and Mohegan Bowl in Webster.
“I passed normal retirement age several years ago and the time has come to step aside. After the sale, we will be splitting our time between New England and the Gulf Coast.”
“We expect that this deal will close in mid-October, possibly sooner. We appreciate the tremendous support the community has given us during the past 17 years. It has been a wonderful experience for our entire family, and we will miss the bowling alleys and the many great people we have met over the years.”
According to ownership, Ryan’s management team stated that their goal is to keep everything the same at both places.
“They are clearly arcade oriented and they will bring improvements and new games to the arcade, but they will also 100% support all our leagues and open play programs. No lanes will be removed, and the pinsetters will remain as they are. They have no intention of switching to string machines! Most importantly, all staff members will still have their jobs along with the opportunity for advancement in a much larger and well-funded company.”
Ryan’s currently has 11 locations of their own plus another 13 route locations at hotels and waterparks etc. Ownership stated that their goal is to become the number one bowling center brand in New England.
“I don’t believe we could find a better buyer to carry on the long-standing traditions of both facilities. They have both candlepin and ten pin centers and 65 years of experience in this industry! I sincerely believe they will help ensure a long and successful future for both locations.”
