Bridgewater man dead in Tuesday crash on I-495
At approximately 6:19 a.m. today, Troopers from State Police–Millbury responded to reports of a serious injury crash on the off-ramp from I-495 Northbound to Exit 20 (Route 85) in Milford.
Upon arrival, troopers located a 2008 Honda CRV that, for reasons still under investigation, had left the travel lane and veered off the left side of the off-ramp, continued down an embankment, and struck several trees. The driver, a 29-year-old man from Bridgewater, was determined to be deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. The driver’s identity will be released after family notifications have been made.
The off-ramp was initially closed at the time of the crash, then partially opened at 7:14 a.m.
The remaining facts and circumstances remain under investigation by troopers assigned to State Police-Millbury. Troop C Headquarters, State Police Crime Scene Services Section (CSSS), State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section (CARS), Milford Fire Department, Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MA DOT) all assisted on scene.
