Brazilian national with criminal history living in Fall River arrested by ICE Boston
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed into custody a man found in Massachusetts.
According to ICE Boston, last Friday, they arrested Antony Araujo, a criminal alien from Brazil in Fall River, Mass.
ICE Boston states that Araujo, who has been arrested in Fall River previously, has a criminal history that includes convictions for rape of a child, indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, and possession of child pornography.
Bob McGovern, Communications Director/Special Counsel for CPCS which has Araujo as a client, released the following:
“Our client has never been “convicted” of any sex offense. The matters referenced in ICE’s release stem from juvenile court proceedings. As a matter of law, juveniles are not convicted of crimes.”
McGovern also noted that the possession of child pornography charge was dismissed prior to trial.
Araujo reportedly illegally entered the United States near San Luis, Arizona during the Biden Administration.
