Brawl at Massachusetts dog park results in serious injuries, multiple arrests

A Massachusetts dog park melee resulted in multiple arrests.

According to police, on Thursday, August 6th, at just after 7:30 p.m., Officer Nicholas Trinque was patrolling Main Street when he observed a fight at the Black Bull Meat Market in Webster. Officer Trinque radioed for other Officers to assist as both men had injuries. As additional Officers arrived, they learned this altercation stemmed from a previous fight at the dog park on High St. Officer Aaron Suss proceeded to that location and observed two men, one of which was lying face up on the ground with blood all over him. The man was breathing but was unconscious. Webster EMS was requested to respond.

Officers continued their investigation and learned that multiple men were at the dog park sitting at one of the tables drinking alcoholic beverages. At one point, one of the men, 41-year-old Derick Brock of Dudley, started arguing with another man (who is 63 years of age) and began punching him, causing serious injuries. This resulted the group of men all fighting each other in a melee. Another one of the individuals involved, 56-year-old Robbie Hryzan of Worcester, kicked another in the face with a shoe on, resulting in injuries. It was also reported that Brock was armed with a knife during the fight.

As a result of the incident, Brock and Hryzan were arrested without incident.

Brock was arrested for A&B on a Person Over 60 Causing Injury and Disorderly Conduct. Hryzan was arrest for A&B with a Dangerous Weapon and Disorderly Conduct.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
