Borden movie “Lizzie” releases movie trailer, soon to hit theaters
A Lizzie Borden movie set for theaters next month has officially released the movie trailer.
“Lizzie” stars Chloë Sevigny as Lizzie Borden in the psychological thriller that is based on the murders of Andrew and Abby Borden. Kristen Stewart plays Bridget Sullivan, the family housekeeper.
The movie summary indicates “Lizzie” will be based on Lizzie finding a kindred spirit in the family’s live-in maid, Bridget, after a lifetime of loneliness. What starts out as a friendship turns into a secret romance. Tensions mount in the family and the mother and father are killed.
The movie was directed by Craig William Macneill and written by Bryce Kass.
The film is scheduled to open in theaters on September 14th.
Coincidently, Saturday, August 4th is the 126 year anniversary of Andrew and Abby Borden being found murdered.
