A company is possibly moving their headquarters out of Fall River and to a neighboring state.

According to a spokesperson, Blount Fine Foods has applied for Qualified Job Incentives which Rhode Island Commerce will consider at their Monday, January 27th Board Meeting.  Upon approval, information about Blount’s plans will be released. The spokesperson stated that Blount’s Fall River manufacturing and logistics center jobs are not the subject of this application; and will continue to operate and grow as planned.

Opened in 1946, Blount Fine Foods is a fifth-generation family-owned and operated producer of fresh prepared foods.

Blount’s products include restaurant-quality, single-serve grab-n-go fresh soups and entrées at retail, as well as entrées, side dishes, and a full line of mac & cheese for retail hot bars and restaurants.

In addition to the Fall River headquarters, Blount has locations in Warren, Rhode Island, McKinney, Texas, and previously, Portland, Oregon.
