Bigger crowds means change of venue for upcoming Fall River Pride Festival
Fall River, Mass. (May 27, 2023) – The Fall River Pride Committee has announced a change in the location of its anticipated festival.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the event will no longer be held at Government Center as originally planned. Instead, the festival will now take place at the City Gates on Ponta Delgada Blvd., still on Sunday, June 4th from noon to 4.
According to the committee, the decision to relocate the festival stems from concerns over the amount of people that can safely gather at Government Center since the pride festival has grown in size. After an evaluation, it was determined that additional support would be required at Government Center, which posed challenges to the committee.
The City Gates offers ample space to accommodate the festival’s diverse array of activities and performances.
The festival will feature live drag performances, music, food, community resources, local vendors, history and educational info on LGBTQ issues and Pride, and a kid’s zone including a dunk tank.
Although the festival has been moved, FRPC announced that the traditional flag raising ceremony will still take place at Government Center on June 1st, from 3 to 4 PM. This ceremony, marking the start of Pride Month, is also a symbol of unity and solidarity within the local community.
The committee also plans to hold a LGBTQ+ prom on June 24th at Fall River ReCreation for anyone 18 and up. Prom will have a Hollywood theme and will be free for attendees.
Finally, FRPC will also be represented at New Bedford Pride on June 3rd, and Taunton Pride on June 10th.

Dear dr david: why so much hate towards fellow human beings? Turn inward and ask yourself why you harbor so much hate instead of spreading it to others who want nothing from you.

Not hate but TRUTH. The demonic spirit that drives LDBTX activism wants and demands much from ‘us’ …our SUBMISSION to your dark LGBTX Theology. Why is your flag flying year round at CITY HALL? why are your pagan/occult ‘drag’ activities conducted at the PUBLIC library ? why the pagan Pride festival on city property (gates) ? Why the public display of your spiritual disorder ? because the demon seeks the imprimatur of the STATE .. to say “we have captured and forced our Theology on the State and all institutions (schools, universities, medical systems, many churches, the military)” … and you have, no doubt about it. Your LBGTX Theology has won the culture and now has superior rights. But is a false theology and being subject to a dark and false theology is A LOT TO ASK.

Prom noun
NORTH AMERICAN
a formal dance held by a high school at the end of the academic year, typically for students in their junior or senior year.
I’m all for people doing what they like if it makes them happy, doesn’t brainwash children, and is legal.
Can’t we call this a dinner/dance? The word ‘prom’ makes this seem like an event that is sanctioned by a school.
