Berta’s Restaurant, Tapas & Bar set to close in Fall River, opening new location
Another Fall River area restaurant is closing.
Berta’s Restaurant, Tapas & Bar at 201 South Main Street in downtown Fall River is ceasing operations, according to Berta Cunha.
“Berta’s restaurant would like to thank everyone for all the support you have given us during our time in Fall River, we couldn’t have done it without you. Saturday December 19th will be our last day at our Fall River Location.”
Cunha says that a new location in East Providence will be opening up, but she has no details to reveal as of yet.
We asked her the reason for the closure, and while the pandemic was a factor, it wasn’t the only reason for the decision.
“It is not just the pandemic. Fall River folks are amazing, but zero support from the city. Fall River people are really amazing and supportive, but that is all.”
Cunha says to keep an eye out for details on the new location.
