Berkley, Freetown, Taunton, respond to multi-vehicle crash on both sides of Route 24 that injured 4

Several local crews responded to a Friday evening multi-vehicle highway crash.

According to Berkley Fire & Rescue, at just before 6:30 p.m., crews were dispatched to Route 24 in the area of Padelford Street for a motor vehicle crash involving multiple vehicles that spanned both the North and South bound lanes.

Car 1, Eng 4, Amb 1 and Taunton Medic 1 handled the incident scene on the south bound side with 2 patients being transported to RI Hospital while Car 2, Eng 1, Amb 2, Freetown Amb 2 and Freetown Eng 1 & 3 handled the incident on the north bound side with 2 patients being transported to St. Luke’s Hospital.

Berkley Fire & Rescue thanked their mutual aid partners, Freetown Fire and Brewster Ambulance-Taunton EMS for responding to assist.
