Benny’s stores to close by end of year
According to multiple reports, all 31 Benny’s stores will be closed by the end of the year. The Benny’s in Fall River was initial scheduled to close at the end of January of next year.
Benny’s President Arnold Bromberg and his siblings have decided to retire and permanently shut down the company. The move will put 715 people out of work.
Some Fall River residents were hoping to be able to shop at other Benny’s stores in the area, but that will no longer be the case. Benny’s owns most of the land and buildings it’s stores are on and they are fielding offers for the real estate.
