BBQ spot spending last day in Dartmouth as eatery moving from trailer to train in Somerset

A new barbeque spot is moving from a trailer in Dartmouth to a train in Somerset.

Missing Link BBQ opened in Dartmouth earlier this year and will spend its last day at 335 Old Fall River Road on December 11th as they prepare to move to 938 Lees River Avenue.

Late last month, The Railway Cafe announced on social media that the restaurant would no longer be in business at the train.

“It is with great sadness that we have to share this post with all of you, but we will no longer be in business at the train. The landowners have chosen to explore a new opportunity for the train and unfortunately, we are not a part of their plans. It has been a pleasure to serve Somerset for the past 10 years. We will miss all of our regular customers and thank you all for your support!”

Missing Link states they will be taking at least a week off to move into their new location.

“As sad as we are to be leaving Dartmouth, we are excited about continuing our Missing Link BBQ journey in Somerset. As Somerset residents, we look forward to providing our community with more variety. This will also give us more opportunity to provide our customers with a better overall experience and the comfort of indoor dining once renovations are done inside the train, formally operated as the Railway Cafe. While we work on improving the train, we will still be selling take out and catering out of our trailer “Rosie”.”

The BBQ spot is known for Texas inspired BBQ with a New England flair. They also feature pit roast beef sandwiches with chef inspired toppings.

Missing link serves lunch and dinner Wednesday-Friday: 11am – 6pm, Saturday: 11am – 6pm, and Sunday: 11am – 6pm with a Breakfast menu on Saturday & Sunday: 9am – 12pm.
