Battleship Brewhouse closing their doors

If you are a fan of Battleship Brewhouse, you will want to get down there quickly as they are closing in the coming days.

The owners of the restaurant left a message on their Facebook page letting customers know of the circumstances surrounding their closing.

It is as follows:

It is with much difficulty and sadness we make the following announcement.

Due to reoccurring and unresolved plumbing and structural issues with our building, the Battleship Brewhouse will be closing its doors indefinitely after 11 years of faithful service. Our last day will be Sunday June 16th.

As many of our regulars know for years we have been battling a sinking foundation and major drainage problems and the owners of the plaza have recently ceased all assistance and attempts to resolve the problem.

Instead they have recently denied responsibility for the drainage issues and the cost is now on our small business. So we no longer feel the business can be operated safely, efficiently and with undue difficulty

To our customers it has been an honor to serve you and we thank you for your loyalty and support for the past 11 years. It has been an incredible experience for us. We enjoyed spearheading the craft beer movement in this city and we wish all local businesses the best of luck. Especially the tenants at 101 President Ave.

We encourage all customers and shipmates to come down collect their beer mugs and have one last beer and wings as we begin winding down operations.

Regretfully,
Jamie and Darlene & the Brew Crew.
