Baker one of several republicans eyed for possible Biden cabinet position

According to a report, Joe Biden’s transition team is looking at a few Republicans for possible Cabinet positions.

Politico is reporting that one person close to Biden’s transition team said it remains “a priority to have options” from different parts of the ideological spectrum.

Meg Whitman, the CEO of Quibi and former CEO of eBay, former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, former Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), and former Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Penn.) have been mentioned along with Governor Baker.

The move could help portray Biden as a unifier.

The decision has already been faced with criticism from several democratic groups.

Baker has not stated if he will vote for Biden for president. He has, however, commented that he will not vote for current President Donald Trump.
