A Fall River eatery had a special visitor this week and he appeared to thoroughly enjoy his visit.

Johnny Hickey is a Boston-born actor, filmmaker, director, producer, and screenwriter known for his gritty, authentic films that draw from his personal experiences with addiction, crime, and recovery in the city’s streets.

Hickey stopped by Roger’s Coney Island Hot Dogs Thursday with his daughter for dinner and stated on social media that he loved the food.

He has acted, produced and/or directed in flicks such as Topper, Stronger, Townies, and Oxy-Morons.

Hickey’s newest project is the film Methadone Mile which stars Justina Valentine as a recovering addict in Boston’s notorious Methadone Mile area and has been accepted into the Boston and Philadelphia Film Festivals. It also features well-known comedians Lenny Clarke and Jim Breuer and UFC legend Jorge Masvidal.

Someone suggested that Hickey should make another visit for breakfast. Judging by how much he enjoyed his dinner, I wouldn’t rule it out.
