A Massachusetts man is still missing after an incident that took place earlier this week.

63-year-old Donald Plasse entered into the Connecticut River off the Mueller Bridge on Route 202 in South Hadley on Tuesday at approximately 3:15 p.m.

Plasse has yet to be located despite multiple recovery attempts.

Due to the time of year, the river was covered in ice, making recovery efforts difficult.

Plasse was seen on bank surveillance video an hour before entering into the Connecticut River wearing red/brown pants, a grey sweater, and a tan jacket. It is believed these are the same clothes he was wearing upon entering the water.

Massachusetts State Police with the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
