Authorities say $5,000 reward offered after Tiverton residence set on fire

TIVERTON, RI- The Tiverton Police Department, along with the Rhode Island State Fire Marshal’s Office, is requesting the public’s assistance with an arson fire investigation.
On Saturday at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Tiverton Police Department and Tiverton Fire Department received a 911 call about a fire on the front porch of a residence on Main Rd in the area of the Little Compton Town line.
Upon arrival, members of the Tiverton Fire Department were quickly able to extinguish the fire. The fire resulted in minimal damage to the residence.
Investigation by the Tiverton Fire Marshal, the Rhode Island State Fire Marshal’s Office, and Tiverton Police Detectives revealed the cause of the fire to be arson.
