Authorities investigating after late-night fatal stabbing in Fall River
Authorities are investigating after a late-night fatal stabbing that took place in Fall River late last week.
According to Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Thursday night, Fall River Police received a call that 31-year-old Joseph Sylvester had been stabbed and was laying on the sidewalk near 197 Rodman Street.
Sylvester was transported to Saint Anne’s Hospital and pronounced deceased at 11:45 p.m.
The investigation, which is being conducted by Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office and Fall River Police, is ongoing.
