Authorities identify 38-year-old Fall River motorcycle rider killed in crash on Route 195

A local man is dead after a late-night motorcycle crash.

According to Rhode Island State Polce, at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, the Rhode Island State Police and Providence Fire Department responded to a reported single-motorcycle crash on Route 195 West at Exit 1C (South Main Street) in Providence.

Upon arrival, troopers determined that the motorcycle had been attempting to take the Exit 1C off-ramp from Route 195 West when the operator lost control and struck a concrete barrier.

The operator, identified as 38-year-old Anthony J. Fiandaca of Fall River, Massachusetts, was pronounced dead at the scene.
