Authorities identify 25-year-old Massachusetts man initially believed to have died from gunshot wound

Authorities have identified a man who died in an incident over the weekend.

According to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office, the man fatally injured in Norwood on Saturday has been identified as 25-year-old Anton C. Dowling of Boston. 

Initially believed by Emergency Room doctors to be a gunshot wound, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined, after autopsy, that Dowling died from injuries sustained from a sharp object.

Isaiah Pierre-Mike, 19, of Norwood, is expected to be arraigned tomorrow morning in Dedham District Court on charges related to the death of Boston.

Pierre-Mike, who lives on Hoyle Street where the assault occurred, faces charges of Manslaughter and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

He was arrested today as part of an investigation by the Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office and the Norwood Police Department.
