A Bristol County man who died after a multi-vehicle highway collision in Massachusetts is being remembered as services have been announced.

According to Tim McGuirk from Massachusetts State Police Media Relations, shortly before 5 p.m. Friday, Troopers from the Foxboro Barracks responded to a 3-car crash on Interstate 95 south prior to Exit 23B resulting in serious injuries.

Preliminary information indicates that 57-year-old William Martindale of Attleboro suffered a medical event that caused his vehicle to go off the roadway into the median and veer back into the roadway where it struck the two other vehicles. First responders delivered medical aid and facilitated his transfer to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

One of the other operators suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

According to an obituary, Bill was proud to be raised and educated in Dorchester and had been a resident of Attleboro for twenty years and was a supervisor for Martignetti Companies in Taunton.

Martindale’s family stated on social media that he will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Following cremation, a memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 3:00PM to 6:00PM in the Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services 20 Peck St., Attleboro. A memorial service will conclude the night at 5:45PM.

At the request of Bill and his family everyone is invited to dress casual for his service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
