Atlantic Charter School in Fall River holds Thumbs Up Thursday, Book Character Parade
Atlantis Charter School in Fall River recently held two fun events, one with the help of FRPD.
First, on Thursday, September 30th, officers from the Fall River Police Department took part in Thumbs Up Thursday at Atlantis’ Lower School. Students in grades K-6 enjoyed seeing the officers and exchanging a thumbs up as they arrived at school.
Events such as these are meant to build trusting relationships between students and the Fall River PD by promoting positive interactions within the Atlantis community.
Second, on Friday, October 8th Atlantis held a K-6 Book Parade! Students and staff came to school dressed in their favorite book character and Lower School students and teachers paraded outside around the track in the morning. Families were invited to come in and watch the parade.
Fun was had by all and there were a ton of creative costumes. Some of the characters seen at the parade were Pete the Cat, Dr. Seuss, Harry Potter, Where’s Waldo, Rainbow Fish, and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom to name just a few.
