As one Fall River school closes a day for cleaning due to COVID-19, another school reveals a positive case
As one school in Fall River closes a day for cleaning due to COVID-19, another school reveals a positive case.
Through Fall River School Superintendent Matthew Malone, Kuss Middle School issued a letter to staff, students, and families that a person in the school’s community has tested positive.
As in previous letters issued for positive COVID-19 cases in Fall River schools, it went on to say that the school has been adhering to protocols and would provide support to those affected.
The letter stated no specifics on who tested positive, but would be notifying those privately who came in close contact with the individual (within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes).
“Please continue to monitor yourself or your child for symptoms and keep your child home if he/she/they show any signs or symptoms and are not feeling well.”
Malone stated that contract tracing was being completed and asked that positive cases be reported to the school nurse.
Greene school closed for in-person learning Thursday.
Despite the recent positive cases revealed in Fall River schools, there appears not to be an outbreak of cases as reports of positives among student and faculty have been sporadic throughout the system during the current school year.
