Another movie is headed to Fall River, however, details are being kept under wraps.

Don’t Look Up, a Netflix movie about a pair of astronomers who are trying to warn the world that a giant meteorite will destroy the planet in six months, has a star studded cast and has been filming in Boston.

According to the Herald News, Chris Nardi, executive director of Battleship Cove, has been in talks concerning a Netflix project filming there sometime in December, but he couldn’t reveal much else due to confidentiality.

The movie, produced by Adam McKay, features an amazing list of stars including Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Matthew Perry, Melanie Lynskey, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande, Tyler Perry, and Kid Cudi.

Due to COVID-19, shooting locations and times have been kept secret to keep everyone safe. If DLU is the one shooting in Fall River, don’t expect to be able to be on scene to watch, unless you are an extra.

In September, we put the word out that Netflix was looking for paid extras to shoot a movie in Massachusetts.

Most of us can’t forget the movie Jungleland, which was recently released and did quite a bit of shooting in the Fall River area.

Don’t Look Up is expected to film into 2021.
