Area police departments give local boy returning from hospital a celebrity homecoming
A local boy received a celebrity escort thanks to several area police departments this weekend.
According to police, on Saturday, motor officers from Cranston, Bristol, East Providence, and Pawtucket Police Departments escorted Jacob Ferreira from the Rhode Island-Massachusetts line to his residence in Bristol.
Jacob was discharged from Boston Children’s Hospital and is now home recovering from heart surgery.
He is looking forward to returning to playing baseball with his teammates on the Mount Hope Huskies and RI Nationals.
All 4 police departments and Fall River Reporter wish Jacob a speedy recovery!
