Another Massachusetts resident plans to move after hitting $1 million State Lottery prize
Recently it has been a common theme among big State Lottery winners from Massachusetts, moving.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Varinder Bhakhri of Ashland is the first $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “200X” instant ticket game that went on sale Tuesday, June 10.
Bhakhri chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He said he plans on purchasing a new house with the winnings
He purchased his winning ticket at Family Farms, 98 Boston Tpke. in Shrewsbury. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
The “200X” instant ticket includes five more instant prizes of $1 million as well as three instant grand prizes of $10 million.
