A college in Fall River will be hosting a woman who has gained notoriety across the globe.

Bristol Community College has announced that the third installment of the Wolfson Speaker Series will feature Exoneree and Ambassador Amanda Knox.

The event will take place on Thursday, April 30th, at 6:00 p.m., in the Jackson Arts Center, on the Bristol Fall River Campus.

Amanda Knox is an exoneree, journalist, public speaker, author of the New York Times best-selling memoir, “Waiting to Be Heard”, and host of the podcast “Hard Knox”. Her second book, “FREE: My Search for Meaning” came out in 2025. She is also an Executive Producer of the 2025 mini-series “The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox available on Hulu/Disney+”.

Between 2007 and 2015, she spent nearly four years in an Italian prison and eight years on trial for a murder she didn’t commit. She has since become an advocate for criminal justice reform and media ethics. She sits on the advisory council for the Frederick Douglass Project for Justice, serves as an Innocence Network Ambassador and is on The Innocence Center Board of Directors. And she is the recipient of the 2024 Innocence Network Impact Award and the 2025 Catalyst of Change Award from the Washington Innocence Project.

Knox’s book, “Free: My Search for Meaning”, is available for pre-sale for $30. Pre-ordered copies will be distributed at the event, and additional books will be available for purchase while supplies last. The author will be available to sign books following the talk.

The Wolfson Speaker Series is named in honor of Richard Wolfson, a longtime member of the Bristol Community College Foundation Board of Directors and supporter of the college. Mr. Wolfson requested that a speaker series offering the community access to high-profile speakers be created to provide enriching opportunities for the region.
