Alleged verbal barrage on Fall River Police leads to arrest after reported OUI crash

On Thursday, Fall River Police arrested a man who allegedly crashed into a vehicle after talking smack to officers.

According to police, a motorist, 40-year-old Andre Ferreira, engaged in a verbal confrontation with detectives.

After his verbal barrage towards the detectives, he hastily attempted to flee and struck a parked truck.

Detectives located Ferreira shortly after and arrested him for OUI Liquor, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Leaving the Scene of Property Damage.

According to court records, at Friday’s arraignment, Ferreira pled not guilty and was released on personal recognizance.
