After over 13 years, owners of Westport business put it up for sale

After 13+ years, owners of a local business are hoping that the public can help them find someone that will carry the torch that they lit.

Mother/daughter team Marcelle Gauvin and Kelsey Jacobsen have announced that Double Bar Music at 549 American Legion Highway in Westport is up for sale.

“We have built a lovely community of students and staff, and are hoping that another person (or persons) may want to take up the mantle of locally owned music education. We’re asking all of our students, friends, families, and musical community members to share this information so we can reach that special someone.”

“So, if you are interested in buying a business, are looking for an outlet to teach, educate, and build community, or just like supporting arts programs – talk to us!”

Gauvin and Jacobsen after many years of working independently in the music business, combined their experience to operate DMB which offers a variety of music lessons along with instrument rentals and retail.
