After neighborhood complaints, 22-year-old Fall River man arrested on gun and drug trafficking charges

A Fall River location that has been at the center of numerous community concerns and complaints resulted in an investigation and arrest by police.

According to police, on Wednesday morning, CAST Detectives, with the assistance of the Housing Unit, Emergency Services Unit, and the Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit, executed a search warrant at 189 Middle Street. The warrant targeted 22-year-old Anthony Kidd.

As a result of the search warrant, the following items were located inside of the residence:

– Smith and Wesson .22 caliber rifle

– FN509 9 mm handgun.

– Approximately 63.94 grams of suspected fentanyl.

– Approximately 28.67 grams of suspected crack cocaine.

– Approximately 48.46 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

– Approximately 30 grams of suspected Psilocybin mushrooms.

– $10,054 in cash.

Anthony Kidd was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm without LTC (2 counts), Unlawful Possession Large Capacity Firearm (2 counts, Possession of Ammunition with LTC, and Possession of a Firearm in Commission of Felony.

At his arraignment, Kidd was held without bail pending the result of a December 3rd dangerousness/detention hearing.
