After a blizzard for the ages dropped over 3 feet of snow in some parts, more snow is coming to Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut

As the cleanup from a historic blizzard has just begun, more snow is expected in the coming days for Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

According to the National Weather Service, a much lighter snowfall is expected Wednesday as a clipper system passes by to our north. Light snowfall then develops after midnight Wednesday into at least mid-morning. Snow is then expected to mix with, and eventually change to, rain across the lower elevations.

Ensemble guidance is hinting at impacts from another area of low pressure some time late Thursday into Friday. The exact track and strength details are highly uncertain this far into the future. That being said, ensemble guidance has shown the possibility of a track to our south, providing more of a glancing pass from a much weaker low pressure that what we had yesterday. We are nearly 3 days away from this system so exact details will be resolved
with future forecast updates.

Some communities on Monday recorded over 3 feet of snow including Fall River and Tiverton who had some spotters record over 40 inches.
