Actor known for popular movie and tv credits, facing charges after Massachusetts shooting, home invasion
A month-long investigation into a Massachusetts shooting and home invasion has led to the arrest of two people, including an actor of famous films and tv.
According to police, at approximately 1:13 a.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2026, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan/Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a walk-in gunshot victim at Boston Medical Center.
Officers and detectives met with a 45-year-old male victim who had sustained a serious but non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Detectives immediately began investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, launching what became an extensive month-long inquiry.
Through the investigation, detectives determined that the victim had been shot inside his Dorchester residence during an apparent coordinated home invasion involving four suspects.
Investigators learned that the victim had invited a female acquaintance to his apartment, who arrived with a second female companion. While both women were inside, the second female left the apartment to get food but returned shortly afterward empty-handed. Upon her return, two male suspects entered the apartment armed, one with a handgun and the other with a shotgun.
The suspect armed with the handgun discharged the firearm, striking the victim. Following the shooting, the victim was sprayed with an unknown substance by one of the female suspects. All four suspects fled the apartment shortly afterward.
Detectives subsequently identified a vehicle observed leaving the area after the shooting, as well as the vehicle’s owner and an individual associated with it. A search warrant executed at the victim’s residence resulted in the recovery of ballistic evidence.
Over the following month, detectives utilized a range of investigative techniques to identify the occupants of the vehicle, track its movements, and determine the address and apartment the suspects entered after the incident.
As a result of the investigation, B-3 detectives obtained multiple search warrants and two arrest warrants. A coordinated joint-agency operation was then conducted in Wellesley to take two suspects into custody.
At approximately 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, B-3 detectives, working with the District B-3 Anti-Crime Unit, the Boston Police Department SWAT Team, and the Wellesley Police Department, executed a search warrant on Williams Street in Wellesley. Detectives arrested 31-year-old Justin Martin of Wellesley and 18-year-old Jahde Nitschke of Wellesley on outstanding warrants.
A subsequent search of the apartment resulted in the seizure of cell phones, clothing believed to have been worn during the home invasion, and a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield .40 caliber firearm containing eight rounds of ammunition. Detectives also towed a vehicle located outside the residence for further investigation.
Justin Martin is charged with:
• Home Invasion
• Assault and Battery by Discharging a Firearm
• Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Firearm)
• Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Second and Subsequent Offense)
• Unlawful Possession of Ammunition (Subsequent Offense)
• Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License (Second Offense)
Jahde Nitschke is charged with:
• Home Invasion
• Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Pepper Spray)
Both defendants are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
According to MassLive, Martin stared in “High School Musical 3”, “Flight” starring Denzel Washington, and the Cold Case series earning young artist award nominations.
