Active-duty firefighter who served in Tiverton, Providence, dies suddenly
A local firefighter well-known throughout the community has died.
41-year-old former Tiverton Firefighter Cipriano Illiano passed away this week.
According to the Tiverton Fire Department, Firefighter Illiano worked for the Tiverton Fire Department from 2010 to 2013 before continuing his career in the Providence Fire Department.
The Providence Firefighter Union stated that Illiano was a proud father and a passionate supporter of the Special Olympics.
Condolences and memories began to pour in on Monday once news spread of Illiano’s sudden passing. Those who knew him remembered him for his smile, leadership, and a good man gone too soon.
Services have yet to be announced.
