UPDATE: A Wish Come True attempting to get local girl to meet her idol

We have an update on Ella from her mom through the website Caring Bridge:

“We wish we were returning to Caring Bridge with different news, but we wanted to let you know that Ella is back in treatment. Unfortunately, her leukemia has relapsed. Of course this has been devastating for all of us. She has been at Hasbro for 3 weeks now. Her treatments are going well and she is working hard to “kick the crap” once again.”

“These 3 weeks have included a bone marrow biopsy, chemotherapy, steroids, a blood transfusion and platelet transfusion and several spinal taps. Her last 2 spinal taps were clear of leukemia cells so she will have a break for a while. That was her first milestone of hopefully many to come.”

With Taylor not touring and having a home nearby, maybe this is a new chance to get Taylor’s attention.

A local charity is trying to get a hold of a famous pop star in hopes of organizing a special meeting.

Ella Integlia is a wish kid through A Wish Come True. Ella has been through so much with her 2 year battle with leukemia. According to her mom Cathi, Ella has endured numerous spinal taps, bone marrow biopsies, blood and platelet transfusions, chemo infusions, hair loss, steroids, intense joint pain, x-rays, MRIs, physical therapy and many trips to the ER for fevers yet through it all she has managed to still have a smile on her face most days. She has handled this “crappy” situation like a champ. It is now our turn to try and help Ella and her family.

Ella would love to meet her idol Taylor Swift. The problem is the organization has not been able to get in contact with Swift who has a mansion in Westerly, Rhode Island.

We are looking to help spread the word in any way possible to get the attention of Taylor and get this special meeting arranged. For those familiar with Swift, you know she is very generous with fans and we know if she hears of this story, we can help make this happen.
