A sign of warmer weather ahead as ice cream stands announce opening dates for the season
Ice cream stands in the Fall River area have announced their openings for the season, a sure sign of optimism that warmer weather is on its way.
If you are looking for a cone, a sundae, or even a banana split, there will be several options to choose from.
Somerset Creamery opened their Route 6 and County Street locations today, March 15th and are looking to hire.
Their spring hours will be Sunday-Thursday 12 pm to 9:30 pm and Friday and Saturday 12 pm to 10 pm.
Lickety Splits in Westport is looking to open at the beginning of April this year. If not the first weekend it will be April 6. They plan on opening Thursday through Sunday plus holidays at least at the beginning.
Nonno’s Ice Cream Shoppe in Fall River has set a Friday, March 31st opening for the season.
Helger’s Ice Cream Shoppe in Tiverton typically opens at the end of April or beginning of May.
March 20th will be the opening day for the Ice Cream Barn in Swansea.
Eskimo King in Swansea plans to open on April 29th.
Simcock Farms in Swansea will be opening in May.
