A second chance nets Massachusetts man $1 million prize from State Lottery
A second chance turned out to be very lucrative for a Massachusetts man and he already has plans on what he will do with the money.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Ramiro Buenrostro is the winner of a $1 million prize in the fourth and final Second Chance Drawing in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “The Fastest Road to $1 Million” instant game.
Buenrostro, who is from Greenfield, claimed his prize at Massachusetts Lottery Headquarters in Dorchester, opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans to use his winnings to pay off his mortgage and purchase a car.
To enter this Second Chance Drawing, which took place Tuesday, May 2, players submitted non-winning “The Fastest Road to $1 Million” tickets through the Mass. Lottery website or the “MA Lottery 2nd Chance” mobile application. Buenrostro’s winning entry was randomly selected from over 675,000 tickets that were entered. Additionally, four winners of $100,000, 14 winners of $10,000, 137 winners of $1,000, and 1,561 winners of $100 were selected.
