A Massachusetts man is looking for a new place to live after hitting big money on a scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Jose Pineda has won a $1,000,000 prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Monopoly 50X” instant game.
Pineda, who is from Somerville, chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans to use his winnings to buy a house.
His winning ticket was purchased at Bairos Liquors located at 68 Broadway in Somerville. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.
