A Massachusetts man has died after injuries sustained in a weekend pedestrian crash
A Massachusetts man is dead after injuries sustained in a weekend pedestrian crash.
According to the Halifax Police Department, a 62-year-old male pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the 200 block of Plymouth Street (Route 106) on Saturday at approximately 3:00 p.m. has succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary investigation shows that Henry O Ejueyitchie of Brockton was in the process of crossing Plymouth Street when he was struck by a motorist travelling eastbound. The 49-year-old operator remained at the scene after the crash.
The victim was transported by Med-Flight to Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston. Police were informed by Hospital Staff that Ejueyitvhie passed away late Sunday afternoon.
The Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team, as well as State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County DA’s Office, BCI from the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, and Halifax Police and Fire Department all responded to the scene. The crash is being further investigated by the State Police and Det. McDonnell of the Halifax Police Department.
