A long-time Durfee teacher in Fall River has passed away; money being raised for local charity in her memory

A popular Fall River teacher has passed away.

According to an obituary, 58-year-old Kathleen Cwikla of Tiverton, RI, passed away on Tuesday, July 7th at Rhode Island Hospital after an illness.

“A Summa Cum Laude graduate of UMass Dartmouth (Class of 2001), Kathleen was a history teacher for many years at BMC Durfee High School.

“Private Arrangements were with Silva-Faria Somerset Funeral Home.
