A 72-year-old man went to work today and didn’t make it home, according to Plymouth County D.A.
Massachusetts State Police and local police are investigating a fatal workplace incident that left one man dead and another injured, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz has announced.
At just before 10:45 a.m. on Monday, Rockland Police received a 911 call for a report of two men that had fallen from a boom lift doing work at 24 North Avenue. The men were maintenance personnel at the Brentwood Arms condominium complex.
Upon arrival, Rockland Police and Fire observed a 72-year-old male who was pronounced dead at the scene. A second male worker was transported to South Shore Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Rockland Police contacted the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, to begin the investigation which is ongoing at this time.
