Massachusetts State Police are investigating an early morning double fatal highway crash.

According to spokesperson Tim McGuirk, shortly before 1:20 a.m., Troopers assigned to the Dartmouth Barracks responded to a single motor vehicle crash on Interstate 195 West at mile marker 19.8 in Dartmouth.

The vehicle’s two occupants sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, police determined the KIA sedan’s two occupant’s, a male and female-both teenagers from Fall River, had been ejected and were located in the left travel lane.

The vehicle was newly reported stolen out of Fall River.

To facilitate the on-scene investigation by the Crime Scene Services Section, the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the Bristol County State Police Detective Unit, Troopers closed all westbound lanes of the highway at Exit 22 and diverted traffic onto Faunce Corner Road. The road reopened at approximately 5:20 a.m.

The State Police offered condolences to the families of the deceased individuals.

No further information is available regarding their identities at this time.

A Bristol County teen was also killed in a fiery crash late last night.
