A pair was apparently hungry after allegedly shoplifting from a Massachusetts department store. Those hunger pangs cost them.

According to police, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Auburn Police Department received a report that two females had just shoplifted from TJ Maxx. According to the caller (an alert TJ Maxx employee), the suspects made off with more than $2,000 worth of merchandise before fleeing in a black Ford Edge with Connecticut plates.

The two reportedly decided to celebrate with a pit stop at the drive thru at Wendy’s directly across the street from the store.

Sgt. Wildman quickly located the suspect vehicle in the drive thru line.

Assisted by Officers Markvenas, Crowley, and Brooks, officers spotted over $2,000 worth of stolen TJ Maxx merchandise in plain view inside of the vehicle.

As a result 38-year-old Dominque Marion of Worcester and 24-year-old Tynaja Williams of New Haven CT were arrested and charged with Larceny Over $1,200 and Conspiracy.

Sorting through the stolen merchandise in the vehicle, Detectives Bresse and Ryan also uncovered a large number of additional items believed stolen from other area stores and are working with neighboring departments to get the property back where it belongs.

The two women may be facing charges in other jurisdictions.
