A well-known Fall River baker and city native who delighted our tastebuds for decades has died.
According to an obituary, 79-year-old Carlton Yousif passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital on August 30th.
Yousif was a devoted baker at Sam’s Bakery where family members say he “poured his heart into his work and was admired for his skill and commitment.”
“Carl was the favorite uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. When uncle Carl was present there were always many laughs and fun times together. He was a very special person and will be greatly missed by all.”
A visitation for Carlton will be held on Friday, September 5th from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at St Anthony of the Desert in Fall River. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
In addition to Yousif, a co-founder of Sam’s Bakery passed away just this past June.
