Hollywood paid a visit to Seekonk department store as part of film to hit the big screen

Hollywood came to a Bristol County department store this weekend.

According to Variety, J.J. Abrams is directing Glen Powell in a new, untitled mystery film which began filming in Providence this month.

The film also stars Jenna Ortega, Emma Mackey, and Samuel L. Jackson, with most principal photography having been completed in the United Kingdom. Abrams is also writing and producing the project, with Warner Bros. and Bad Robot involved.

The Seekonk Police Department announced Sunday morning that “members of the Department were happy to assist with a security detail for the new Glen Powell/J.J. Abrams movie while the production team filmed scenes at the Seekonk Target on Commerce Way.”

No word on if more shooting in Bristol County is planned.
