Fall River Police arrest teen on gun charges who was on GPS for Armed Robbery, Assault to Murder, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Fall River Police have arrested a teen on serious charges who was already out on other charges.
According to police, on Friday, officers from the Patrol Bureau investigated a report of terroristic threats. During the investigation, officers viewed a video showing the suspect in possession of a firearm. The suspect, identified as a 17 year old juvenile, was already on GPS monitoring for charges including Armed Robbery, Assault to Murder, and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
A collaborative investigation between C.A.S.T. and the Patrol Bureau led to a search warrant for the suspect’s Orange Street residence. With the assistance of the Emergency Services Unit and detectives from C.A.S.T. and the Major Case Division, the warrant was executed. While officers entered, the suspect threw a Taurus .380 handgun out of a third-floor window, which was recovered as evidence.
The Juvenile was arrested and charged with:
• Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
• Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card
• Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card (2 counts)
• Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device
• Bomb/Hijack Threat (Terroristic Threats)
