A Massachusetts man is facing several charges after a vehicle was stolen with pets inside.

According to police, on Thursday, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the McDonald’s restaurant at 701 Bridge Street in Weymouth for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The reporting party stated that the vehicle, a 2011 Nissan Frontier, was left unlocked with the keys inside. It was taken while she was inside the store picking up food. There were two small French bulldogs inside the Frontier when it was stolen.

After the theft took place, the owner pleaded on social media for information on the location of the dogs.

On Friday, detectives were following up on the investigation and identified a party selling the stolen vehicle online. The posted picture included an image of the vehicle’s license plate. Further investigation revealed the Frontier was located at 124 Manley St. in Brockton. Brockton officers detained Morse on scene. They located the two French bulldogs still inside the hot vehicle. The dogs were checked by Brockton animal control and released to the Weymouth police. Morse was placed under arrest by Weymouth detectives and transported Weymouth Police Department for booking.
