ATTLEBORO — Chief Scott Lachance reports that the Attleboro Fire Department responded Sunday afternoon to a rollover crash.

At just before 5:00 p.m., Attleboro Fire responded to the 600-block area of Washington Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a single vehicle resting on its roof and three snapped utility poles.

The sole occupant, an elderly driver, was pulled from the vehicle by a bystander prior to the arrival of Attleboro Fire Department personnel.

Firefighters and paramedics provided immediate care and transported the driver via an Advanced Life Support ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital. The driver is believed to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

A section of Washington Street, between Sullivan and Carleton streets, will be closed temporarily.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Attleboro Police Department.
