Bristol County District Attorney’s Office releases identities of two teens killed in Dartmouth highway crash
Authorities have released the identities of the two teens killed in a fatal afternoon highway crash in Dartmouth.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, at approximately 1:35 p.m. on Saturday, Massachusetts State Police responded to mile marker 19.4 near the Reed Road Exit on 195 West in Dartmouth in response to multiple 911 calls.
Upon arrival, Massachusetts State Troopers located a single motor vehicle crash. The vehicle involved was identified as a 2006 gray Chevy Equinox.
Both occupants had been ejected from the vehicle and the crash dislodged the vehicle’s engine.
Both male victims were transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased a short time later.
19-year-old Kevin Dos Santos Lopes of New Bedford and 18-year-old Amilton De Pina Semedo of Pawtucket, RI are the deceased.
The DA’s Office stated that the single motor vehicle crash is not deemed suspicious.
The crash is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police along with Troopers assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
