A young Massachusetts woman is dead after a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday evening.

According to a Connecticut State Police accident report, at approximately 9:15 p.m., a fatal two-vehicle crash occurred on Boston Post Road (Route 6) near the intersection of Route 203 in Windham, Connecticut.

The victim, 23-year-old Jalene Ailany Brown of Framingham, Massachusetts, was driving westbound in a 2019 Nissan Rogue when she lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a right turn.

Her car slid sideways across the solid double-yellow line and into the path of an oncoming eastbound tractor-trailer owned by Stop & Shop and driven by 58-year-old Mark Costa of Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

Costa was uninjured and declined medical treatment.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, “Jalene was a kind, vibrant young woman. She brightened every room with her smile and funny spirit.”
