Wife gives update as family attempting to raise funds for Fall River barber seriously injured in motorcycle crash
Family members gave Fall River Reporter a new update on the condition of a motorcycle rider seriously injured on Saturday.
Eric Pagan’s wife stated that he has been through several surgeries with the most recent being a successful heart surgery. He is not out of the woods yet, but is heading in the right direction.
At just before 6:15 p.m., the Swansea Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting a crash with injuries in the area of 580 Grand Army of the Republic Highway.
Officers arrived to discover a crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle. Pagan suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. A passenger in the pickup truck was taken to a local hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. The driver of the pickup truck was evaluated at the scene but not transported.
The Swansea Fire Department, Swansea Ambulance Corps, and Somerset Fire Department Ambulance also responded to the scene.
Pagan is a barber at City Clippers on Pleasant Street in Fall River.
His father gave us an update on Sunday and let us know the type of man he is.
“A great father and husband. We can’t say much. He is in stable condition as of right now, but he is still fighting for his life. If we can come together in a chain of prayer for my son and all riders. Please be careful. Respect these bikes. Coming from one rider to another, be aware of your surroundings. Most of the time it’s not the rider it’s others. God bless.”
Pagan had a new addition to the family just last week.
The crash remains under investigation by the Swansea Police Patrol Division, the Swansea Police Detective Division, and the Swansea Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
