Massachusetts woman has some plans for herself, mother, after hitting big State Lottery prize
A Massachusetts woman plans on using a recent big State Lottery win to better herself and her mom.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Daneysi Ballestero-Alvarez of Dorchester has won a $1,000 a week for life prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “$1,000 a Week for Life” $5 instant ticket game that went on sale on Tuesday, February 18.
Ballestero-Alvarez, who works as a medical assistant, chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $800,000 (before taxes). She plans on going back to school, traveling, and fixing up her mother’s house with the winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at Pit Stop, 695 Truman Pkwy. in Hyde Park. The store will receive a $10,400 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
$1,000 a Week for Life has 7 grand prizes remaining.
